    My partners mother has this reciever.. but the bracket on the lnb broke when it got hit, patched it up like new but can get all the channels except the music and films channels...ever come across this before... anyone any ideas...before they call out the pros.... will does as a last resort as they can be expensive....

    If the lnb was hit with enough force to break it on the dish then most likely the dish has slightly moved and will need to be realigned.

    what difference does it make what receiver you have if the LNB broke ?

    Try a re-scan.

    Sky Films & Music choice only work on a Sky Subscription (Sky Digibox recommended).

    I tries a re-scan and used a different box and it's still the same, must be a problem with the lnb sor the dish needs a re-allignment.

    The force of the impact would have moved the dish a certain amount. You could try some very minor adjustments first and see if it makes a difference. The smaller the adjustment the better even a couple of millimetres could make a huge difference.
