Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I have a query about TB testing. Every since I can remember, my herd, I was notified of the upcoming annual TB test before the 12 months were up. This year though, I have not received any notification from the department. The last herd test was April 2008, over a year ago. Doesn't bother me at the moment as I have no cattle to sell but I was just wondering has this happened to anyone else?

    yes

it happens occassionally. guess it is a computer error:D:D ,yet if the farmer doesn't do the test within the specified time it is a criminal offence.

Each DVO orders its testing into 4 or 5 "rounds". You're supposed to test when your "round" comes out. While the department frowns upon people testing late (in case they don't test at all thus making a fool of their law-abiding neighbours) they do not mind if you want to test earlier. Just give them a call. I do because I like to test while the cattle are in the shed and if there is a problem I'll hope to be clear come weanling selling time. Also sometimes tests come out outside of "round" if there is TB in locality or animal you sold becomes a reactor on another farm. I would'nt go heavy on "criminal offence" aspect. You get nearly 6 or 7 weeks to get it done. Very few people are ever in paper for prosecutions. I remember only one in last donkeys years.
