Blackberry 8110 - can't open email attachment .pdf

We have a Blackberry 8110. Was working gerand up to yesterday , however , now if we open an email attachment , it turns out , that the attachement it will open is not actually the accachnment that came with the email, but is an attachment that came wioth an older email. Does anyone here know what could be going on
