Eircom broadband problems in Prosperous area

Eircom had a major meltdown on their DNS servers the last few days. They've replaced two servers and don't anticipate any more issues. It was a country-wide issue.

well documented in broadband forum. country wide meltdown. If you feel comfortable changing router settings, then change the DNS server addresses on your router to opendns ones to get round the problem. Jump to broadband forum for better info.
