Its back!! The boards.ie fantasy premier league code is as follows:

Any members of this league last year should be able to renew the league so they wont need to enter the league code. Overall the Boards.ie league was the 10th best league in the world last year so congrats to all!

Also this year I will set a deadline date for entering to the end of September as many regular Boards posters suggested. Last year there was a non boards.ie user who joined the league halfway through the season - while overtaking a regular Boards.ie user. I would imagine that they saw that the boards.ie league was one of the top ranking leages in the game and used the league name to find the code.

Great, I love the start of it and playing with the team - but I usually lose interest after Christma.

Didn't think Ireland would be that high. I could be wrong but I believe he was 5.5 at the start of last season. That's some leap in price.

Lamps and Gerrard the most expensive at 12.5

The scoring has stayed the same but we've made a number of improvements to the game for the new season. Here are five of them:

1. Private Head to Head Leagues
2. Emergency Captain
3. Use you free transfer next Gameweek
4. New mobile site
5. Interface enhancements

1. Private Head to Head Leagues
In addition to a public head to head league, you'll be able to set-up head to head leagues with your mates. Every Gameweek there's a real match to be played and temporary bragging rights to be earned!

Optionally you can end your season with a knock-out cup between the top teams, nothing will be decided until Gameweek 38!

2. Emergency Captain
Never again will rotation policies or last minute injuries leave your team leader less! In the event of your captain not playing in a Gameweek a new captain, either the player with the highest form or price value at the start of the gameweek, will be selected based on your emergency captain strategy.

Why no vice captain? With the emergency rule you guarantee a captain, with a vice captain you still run the risk of both players not playing.

3. Use your free transfer next Gameweek
Don't need to make a free transfer or forget one week? If you don't use your free transfer in a Gameweek then it will carry over to the next Gameweek.

The unused transfer will only be carried over for one Gameweek though, the wildcard will still be the only way to change your team completely at no cost once a season.

4. Improved mobile siteOur mobile site will be overhauled so it functions well and looks good on all modern handsets. They'll be no excuses for missing out on that last minute transfer or not checking your points at full-time on Saturday!

Private Boards Head-to-Head League Anyone?

Good idea about the emergency captain - would have preferred to be able to set it.

I like the carry a transfer forward a week idea - means there is less chance to get screwed over if an injury crisis hits.

My tips at the moment would be Kightly in midfield at 5.5, Muamba at 4.5 and up front Ebanks-Blake.

Anderson at 5 is very low for a player who is likely to play most matches. I know he gets few assists of goals, but for 5, he's a guaranteed cheap points.
Foster at 5.0 could also end up being first choice United goalie.
Ferdinand at 7 represents the best value out there for defenders and points imo.

Skrtel at 6 also looks a decent buy.

Ebanks-Blake is an obvious choice. I think if Campbell goes out on loan he's a much more attractive proposition.
Joo at 7.5 looks like a darn good buy.

Might I suggest locking the league after week 3 or 4, and only then giving out the password to applicants by PM. Stop all the non boardies joining like previous seasons

I normally don't touch my team until the week before, but I was working late so got registered and put a quick team together.

Then about an hour ago I changed it....

Now im considering changing it again......

But there's still loads of transfers to be done??.....how will utd cope without Ronaldo (but we'll all got an extra 2 mill!?)....who's the next giovanni/zaki!??
