Kuszczak played 329 minutes last year compared to Foster's 180. Bit of a gamble going with either imo.

Evra is 6.5 so with that you can only afford Agger or Insua. I'd go with Insua for 6.0.

IMO Liverpool's starting backline this season will be Insua(6)Carragher(7)Agger(6.5)Johnson(7.5) until Fabio and Skrtel come back.

Ive chosen my team outta players who will probably get 2 games each in the first gameweek.

Arshavin is an omission (he will prob hit big points this season) but Arsenal are only away to everton in first week so ill hedge my bets that hes not worth it in the first week.

John Utaka could have a decent season. An attacking midfielder who will be playing in an even more advanced position this season with Pompey light up front at the moment.

What are your thoughts on this team then?

Will Mikel be a regular starter under Ancelotti?

I presume Ashley Cole won't be displaced by Zhirkov, and that its more likely he'll replace Malouda.

My other dodgy selection is Andy Johnson, scored a bag full of points last year when he was injured at the start of the season, but could 6.5 be put to better use?

Can't see 6.5 or 6.0 getting you a lot - but 5.5 Sylvan Ebanks-Blake yes. Save you some cash.

Lol - have Hart, 4m is dirt cheap for a regular starter who if main keeper is injured is guaranteed a few points - but as a Villa fan I'd gladly take a points loss if it mean the Brum scum let in 4 plus!

15 of the 20 teams will play twice. there are games on the tuesday and wednesday after the first weekend of the season.

5 teams wont play and their next game is on the following weekend.

No teams are playing twice in the first gameweek. I think the lads had their wires crossed a bit, Jayob10 is saying that there are a few teams playing twice within a week, but even though they are days apart they are separate gameweeks.

Oh apologies. I'm still going to stick with my 8.0 prediction though, FF tend to err on the side of overpricing rather than underpricing big name signings.

If he was 7.5 or less I would strongly consider trying to make a bit of room for him

If he's any more than 7.0 I'm not bringing him in. I had Xabi and there's no way you can value a new guy at more when he's less experienced and about as likely to score, which means not really.

Lucas @ 5.0m is my new cheap midfielder. He should play more and he's a better option than Mikel I reckon for that price.

Hate giving tips ( ) but go for Luis Jiminez at West Ham as a cheap mid.

Yeh Lucas at 5 could be a shrewd piece of business, he should start the 1st couple of games anyway. Certainly better than Mikel at 5.0 (will he even start?) who I can't see getting any goals/assists and possibly will pick up some bookings.

Better than a lot of the other 5.0 options I've seen as well, such as Masch and P.Neville, Anderson arguably as well

People should chill out on the Fulham players, esp defenders.

They're more than likely NOT gonna play gameweek 2 due to European matches, then they play Chelsea, Villa, Everton.

Rooney has'nt been as clinical a finisher as Torres,but he'll probably get more assists,plus the bonus points.

torres is more likely to play more for pool than rooney is for utd (not by alot admitedly) so torres is probably the better bet (more 90 minute 2 points than substituted 1 points)
