Yeah but what about players like myself who had Lampard captained, meant to change the captaincy to Fabregas but forgot? How much luck do you mitigate for? In my opinion, it's better that they mitigate for luck beyond your control i.e. your captain being rested, which you have no input into.

As i said before, I had drogba as captain, he didnt play, its passed to rooney and he didnt play, it then went to Lampard who scored me 56 points. Thats pure madness so it is. If you happen to have 2 players eligible for captaincy and they don't play then it should be tough luck if they both don't play. to bring a 3rd player into the mix makes it a joke.

A previous poster also made a great point in that people who were shrewd to pick Lampard as captain originally have been penalised too in a way.

I agree completely with this. Have been saying since the start you should be able to have captain and vice captain only. I also always said you should have to choose vice captain too and if neither play then tough luck. That way people can take risks or think of strategies for choosing captain (other than form or price based) and this would make it more skillful. It would add a new element to the game, choosing the vice captain. Kinda like the second serve in tennis, Go for a big hitter with choice 1 every time but then choice 2, do you go for a certain starter? Maybe a defender likely to get 6 points or do you go for another big hitter? This week would have been a great week for it too. Loads of people would have had Drogba and Rooney and those loads of people would be sickened. On the other hand, the people who went for Glen Johnson or Gareth Bale as their safe choice vice captain would be rewarded nicely for their intelligence.

If people agree to this they should mail the site. I'm not too sure but last year I asked about 5 friends to mail about customizable head to head leagues and this year they appeared. Maybe they had that plan already, maybe loads of people asked for it but goes to show that it can't hurt to throw your ideas at them. I'll be mailing them to change the captaincy system to how i described above anyways.

On another note, Up to 1st in my main league finally - 64 with Given, Tevez and McCarthy to play. 46th in the Boards league. Thank feck none of my direct competitors had Lampard.

When I went on Aertel I saw headline that Chelsea scored 7 goals. As I had Drogba as captain i was licking my lips hoping he least got 2-3 then I find out he does not play and few my mates had Lampard as Captain. Talk about knock down.:)

N'Zogbia on the bench. This week has gone hilariously badly for me.

To save it I basically need Tevez to score about 10 goals.

I had Drogba as my captain this week, he still has the (C) beside his name, I also have emergency captain settings to go to the next most valuable player, which is Mr. Carlos Tevez, should my (C) icon have not moved onto him already as Drogba didnt make an appearance on Saturday or will the (C) and the double points appear in a few hours.

So Bullard was a good buy and Tevez claws back a few more lost points. Should reach over 60 which isn't too bad considering I had no Fat Frank or Malouda and started Cesc, Drogba and Arteta.

Furthermore, I reckon that this is the first week all year that my defence got me out of trouble (wtf has been with defences this year???) - Evra, Insua, Distin and Sorensen for a total of 26 points.

Yes - some real and informed fantasy football decisions paying off - Have a load of that you Lampard vice-captaining luck-drenched knob jockeys.
