66 points, which I'd consider a resounding success considering that Drogba, Rooney and Arteta didn't play, minus 5 points for Caldwell and Dunne......and I sold Tevez last week!!!

68 points here and very happy with that given that Rooney and Arteta didn't feature.

Lost a few places in the biggest private league. Champions league place is still obtainable :)

Next week, did a sub already - thoughts? 0.3 in the bank, was thinking Torres for Rooney but maybe would be jumping the gun a little

    Almunia

    Evra
    Dunne
    Song
    Distin
    Zabaleta

    Malouda
    Lampard

    Tevez (C)
    Rooney
    Bendtner

    Subs:
    Given
    Parker
    Lee
    Mascherano

Thinking of going for Tevez myself, looks like a good choice.

Also swapping Lamp for Fab and making him Captain and bring Lamp back in the week after

83 points thanks to Tevez, also didn't have Arteta or Rooney playing, and sold Lamps for Fab, it could have been so much better, but I'm still happy obviously.

67 which I am delighted with considering that...

    -Rooney didn't play
    -Arteta didn't play
    -Drogba didn't play
-My subs that came on got 1, 1 and -1 points
    -Didn't have Lampard
-Wasn't the benefactor of a rediculous vice-captain rule

I was pretty much in the same boat

I got 67 and had only 9 players
    no Rooney
    no Drogba
    no Arteta
    No Duff
    No Hughes

and didnt have fat frank as captain, had David Dunn captain

He's probably in better shape than you and plays better and scores more than most other players :p haha

Ever heard of the forum charter?

anyone know why Arteta didn't play in the last match? Was it just too soon for him to play 3 matches in a row after just coming back from his injury and will he be back this weekend?

What about Bendtner for this weekend? Worth a shot since Bent is suspended?

I'll be waiting til after the CL games to make any changes

    not sure
there was no mention of him being injured before the game at the weekend.
    maybe he was just rested.

he would have been the difference in the game id say

Groin Strain, supposed to be minor and is expected back at the weekend.

I hope to God he is back. A very favourable fixtures at home to West Ham, he could easily rack up a big score with the form he is in. Then again, if he is struggling with injury, its possible he'll just come on for the last 10 mins and get 1 point. I guess I picked a bad week to get him in.

    18, 5, 11, 11 in the last four weeks. The week I buy him: 0 :D

I didn't hear any reports of him having any sort of problem before the match either, so I guess it was just a bit unfortunate. Anybody know why Aaron Hughes missed out?

Ongoing Europa League adventure appears to be taking its toll.

Hodgson just wanted to rest him.

nice solid week with 85 points thanks to ffl. gaining on a few people in the leagues i'm in and now only 107 points out of the top 50 in the boardsie league. prob runnin outta fixtures

Only got 37 this week with the team below.

    attachment.php?attachmentid=109206&stc=1&d=1269961158

Have two subs so thinking of dropping Corluka for assou akkoto and agbonlahor for tevez.
    Any thoughts?

Sensible management, I guess. It makes it more difficult to pick Fulham players early for the double GW now if hes becoming less predictable. Duff, Murphy, Hughes all left out at the weekend.

Down to 11th from 8th in my friend league from 36 friends. 150 points behind leader in it now.

Worst week of all funny thing is the people who overtook me all had Drogba as there first choice captain as I did

    NOOOOO

Lads, if any of you read Sky Sports website on Sat mornings, Paul Mersons section is usually very good. The man is almost 4 times out of 5 accurate with his predictions....

Bowyer has to go as well. I got rid of him last week as he was not chipping in with much at all.

Not a bad week but certainly could have been better. Still 50 points behind the leader in the pride league. Have the leaders of both work leagues within 30 points now though (1k prize money in both). Dropped a wee bit in the board league but still less than 40 points off of the top 50.

Can you afford Bale for Corluka? He's in much better form. Tevez for Agbonlahor is a good move

Do you really want a Spurs defender long term? They are playing the top 3 in 3 consecutive gameweeks..

  • Registered Users Posts: 583 ✭✭✭I'm listening

What's peoples view when it comes to defenders?

I always play the minimum requirement when it comes to fielding defenders (unless I was stuck for players). I feel there is less chance of them getting the high scores and can easily drop points depending on score line.

A semi-miraculous 86 points this week with Rooney, Arteta and Drogba all on the bench. Malouda (C), Tevez, Sorenson and, randomly, Craddock made it a decent week and pushed me up in all my leagues. Hoping Rooney's injury isn't too serious.

nice going considering you did not have Lampard

Gah. It almost seems sacrilegious to do this. He's been unstoppable this year. Injury looks nasty enough though.

Yes would never do transfer till a friday at least. Its very early to say it couLD be serous and there always a chance your player could pick up knock in training before a weekend.

bloody hell!! I've been saving for Rooney for weeks!! I sold Drogba and brought him in, only for him to be left on the bench, and now this happens!!!! Its always the way!! :(

At least Drogba was benched last week too, so I wouldnt have gotten any points anyway! Raging now i didnt put lampard as me captain!! Had Cesc instead! 4 points including the captain multiplier!! :(

I'm in the same boat. It actually annoys me how this has affected my last few days! Think I'm addicted to fantasy football. I support Liverpool and I care more about my fantasy team than whether they finish fourth or not!

In this game, points per minute versus the cost of the player is all that counts.

Dirty or not, Torres is the only player that you can replace Rooney with..

Bent has a decent run of games coming up....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,626 ✭✭✭Stargal

Henry Winter just said on Twitter that Rooney will be out for two to four weeks (linky). Gulp. Torres is obvious replacement (already have Drogba), but Rooney is half a million dearer now than when I bought him so it'll be a big loss to bring him back for the final few games. Gah.

Edit: Nothing on the BBC or Guardian confirming this yet, so taking it with a pinch of salt for the moment.

Double-edit: Just as I say that, I see it's up on Sky Sports.

I think, not certain, you don't get suspended for 5 yellow cards after a certain date in the season.

You have to hit 10 yellow cards if it's in the second half of the season.
