Thinking of bringing in Gerrard for fab, instead of malouda.... Think he has an easier run in!!!!

is this worth an 8 point hit considering injuries:

    Out: Fabergas, Rooney & Kuyt

    In: Nasri, Torres & Lampard

I can't see Birmingham conceding that much at home, can see Arsenal hammering Wolves though so hopefully Bender will bag a goal or two. :)

Wolves undefeated in the last 4 & playing very well , their defense is pretty solid recently to, Arsenal of course have the ability to cut them to ribbons but without Fabregas & Arshavin i think they will struggle up front.

Why am I only making 11.5 off selling Fab? He's listed at 12.2 :[

Id leave Kuyt in , Birmingham away is the type of game he scores in . Seeing as you will be getting 0 points for Fab & Rooney you may as well make some transfers & if getting Kuyt out allows u to get Torres & Lampard in go for it .

However, Lampard may not do much at Old Trafford as Fletcher will be man marking him while Birmingham are solid at home which could snuff out Torres , decisions decisions....

I would take a point hit to avoid loosing the additional amount that both players have increased in value by - assuming you have had them a while.

    I'm tearing up.

    Malouda.

Was gonna plump for Lampard but using the extra cash to beef up my team as a whole.

Hmmm, i have lampard already... i really think Gerrard could be a better option than Malouda for the run in if you look at the games.... Everyone seems to be overlooking him in favour of Malouda though....

Seriously, Gerrard has been dreadful all season. Terrible idea bringing him in.

This weeks injuries have worked out well for me:

I took Fabregas out a few weeks ago when Lampard had a double GW, most around me still have him so now I don't have to worry about getting him back in. I'm 60 points clear in my main league so the more similarities in everyones team the better for me, I'll do the Torres --> Rooney switch this week, as I'm sure most will.

My main problem for this week is who to give the armband to?
Arteta, Torres and Tevez are the main contenders

I dont know, i dont see it a terrible idea at all, he has had a bad season alrite... but, check his fixtures, and liverpool need results so i think he will step up, also he takes frees/penatlies, he is only 23 points behind malouda in the points so far this season considering Malouda has had 3 epic weeks in the past four weeks, also Chelsea have United this weekend while Liverpool have Brum, all these reason combined i think him a good option...

    Does nobody else see that???

True, Bendtner captain is a gamble but I need to gain on the lad in front in my private league. :(

    Any thoughts?

Glad I didnt make this change early in the week.
Thinking now of still changing agbonlahor out for tevez. Going to drop corluka and Fab for evra and diaby. Will still have 4.1 in the back then for the future.

Had to ship out Fabregas and Rooney, got Valencia and Torres in. Those 2 lads have been in my team since the season started, they've served me well.

I'd go with Nani ahead of Valencia, much cheaper and been performing well fantasy wise in the last few weeks. Valencia has been in and out of the line up a bit recently.

thoughts on my team for the weekend folks?

    Sorensen
    Baines
    Cuellar
    Johnson
    Lampard---Bowyer--Milner---Valencia
    Torres
    Drogba (C)--Bendtner

    Subs:
    Jaaskelainen, O'Hara, Wilkinson, Zayatte

lot of head scratching done this weekend, tough calls made all round.
got rid of C.Cole and Rooney for Torres and Bendtner, prob a common enough move id imagine.

If i was you i'd give the captaincy to Bendter. Drogba's record against United is pretty poor, i think it's something like 1 goal in 11 games. I'd probably also play o'hara before bowyer, o'hara v blackburn, bowyer v liverpool. O'hara's pretty much portsmouths main man.

Rooney out and Tevez in. May make one more change. Have Arteta as captain but will no doubt change my mind a 100 times today :D

    Who to replace Fabregas with?

I already have Lampard and Arteta. Don't want Malouda as playing United.

So that leaves Milner or Gerrard... hmmm

I wouldn't just cast Malouda to one side, he really is playing great stuff where as Milner and Gerrard are really not playing well.

I'm in 12th in the boards league, but I'd say I'll be falling significantly this weekend. Woeful fixtures for my team and Arteta is possibly injured. Nightmare scenario is if he came on and only got 1 point as captain. I hope Malouda's good run will come to an end now.

If i was trying to make up a gap in a private league though, I'd be looking at Berbatov and Nani

The point was, I fancy him to score very well, but theres always a risk they could slap him on the bench and bring him on for 10 mins at the end for 1 point.

Doesn't matter, looks like he is out anyways.

Tevez, Drogba, Torres or Lampard as captain ?

Rooney and Cesc out. Arteta doubtful. Caldwell 3 match ban.

Need to do some serious pruning. Any suggestions?

Tevez... wouldn't go with Bendtner as Arsenal are without Fabregas. It was on the Irish Independent that Arshavin will miss at least 4 games too.

Seen this on SSN too: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6070375,00.html

Without Rooney, Fabregas or Arteta this week, so bringing in Torres, Pienaar and... well, not sure who the final one is. Lampard is the obvious choice, but then I'll have three Chelsea players (Lamps, Drogba and Malouda) with a tough fixture this week. Kuyt? Valencia? Dilemma.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,405 ✭✭✭McGrath5

Not sure who to make captain this week, either Lampard, Drogba or Torres.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,191 ✭✭✭The_Hustler

Last week I dropped Lampard with his 4 goals for a now injured Fabregas.
I dropped Tevez with his 3 goals instead of a now injured Rooney for Torres.

    Now I want both back.

However, my stubborness has me looking for others. Adebayor is not much more expensive than Tevez, and Bent has some good fixtures coming up. Man City's double is a few weeks away.
