I'd say the chances of anybody's Captain not playing this week are slim.

Here's the rules for a normal gameweek.

If your captain does not play then he will be automatically substituted in accordance with the rules at the end of the gameweek. A new captain, either the player with the highest form or price value at the start of the gameweek, will then be selected based on your emergency captain strategy.

Season's not started and already I've had to make six changes based on injuries. Fantasy Football is like that scene in The Simpsons where Sideshow Bob repeatedly steps on a rake; painful but I keep doing it.

Damn, I put Gerrard down as my captain. Doesn't say on the site that he's doubtful though and I've already had to use my substitute midfielder (Geovanni in for Simon Davies) so he damn well better play! :mad::p

My team has completely changed since my first attempt but I eventually settled on the following. Defence is a bit dodgy but a pretty solid midfield and attack will hopefully make up for that:

You have to do your homework and cant just rely on the fantasy football for injuries and info

Rooney out => Torres in as captain

Kuyt can be as good as Gerard for points IMO and had a good season in 08/09.

Alot of questions being thrown around regarding different players fitness such as Gerrard, Carragher etc so I'm unsure about my team at the moment.

Also do people think Valenica is going to start, there is talk of Nani starting instead, but considering his shoulder injury etc I think Valencia should start but just cant be sure.

Could a players value rise between GW1 and 2? I mean someone is likely to have an amazing game tomorrow and be transferred into thousands of team.

Does a value rise need to build up over a couple of weeks or is one gameweek of transfers enough to bring him up .1?

If you already have a more expensive Man Utd or Liverpool defender drop it down to O Shea or Insua - both *Should* start and both are cheap for the points they'll rake in.

Then get Lucas - he's certain to start the first four or five games and at 5.0? That's a steal.
