Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Try sticking a classified ad in your local paper. Lots of motors for sale there, bought my own car via the classifieds.

Also generally means you will get more responses and viewings of the car, as the people reading the ad will be living in your locality therefore more willing to go the short distance to view the car, rather than someone in Donegal being willing to travel to see your car if it's based in Kerry, for e.g.

Donedeal is pretty good IMO, and try adverts.ie too as already suggested. If you're a member of any other fora, if they have a buy and sell section stick up a post there too.

    http://www.gumtree.ie/ is ok aswell.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

I believe that everything is up to the value of the car. If the price is very good then people will go everywhere.
From my side I would suggest DoneDeal.ie an Gumtree.ie . You can also post in Adverts. It is good for online negotiation and generar Q&A but loads of timewasters and daydreamers.
As per local newspaper....I think it's a past as more and more people rather use the web than buy a newspaper.

    +1 on the above.

However, we sold my gf's jeep recently off the net. Had it up on Carzone, CBG, Adverts, Cars Ireland, Whatcar, Gumtree and Buy & Sell. No enquiries from Carzone, 2 from adverts and 1 from Cars Ireland. Eventually sold it through CBG.

The buy and sell, or autotrader

B&S? Don't think so! See this thread: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055613103

Also, I don't see any point in using AT when you'll be competing against NI cars!

If the advert is presented well and the car is priced realistically then it doesn't matter which site you advertise it on.

Cars for sale Ireland put it on here and get it listed on 50 others which are all part of the same network. Moderators dont like me doing this but here a link to what you get
