Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Missed opportunity - Camera at home

A short while go, I was out for a bit of lunch. I wandered down to the beachfront after wards for a little look about (hadn't been to this "world-famous" beach yet).
Anyway, after lunch i seen a bit of a crowd over at the skatepark, so I wander over to see what the fuss is. Right there in the middle of a bunch or kids and teens on the skate ramps is none other than Tony Hawk giving an impromptu show on the half pipe (was actually more of a empty pool).

And of course I had left my camera back at the house.:mad::mad:

So, my question, what other opportunites have you missed due to leaving equipment (the camera or even just a paticular lens) behind?

Coming home from work the other day and the traffic in the other direction was held up with quite a bit of a tailback due to a farmer herding his sheep along the main road.

Was just a funny scene, cos there was a big truck at the top of the queue of traffic and Farmer Joe strolling down the road, raising a stick to all the passing traffic and
generally not giving a flying funk about the traffic build up. :D

That'd be a quite funny photo I thought, reached for my camera only to relais ethat I didnt have it with me. Have carried to around every day since then but no luck.
Actually dont have it with me today to whats the bets the journey home will be very eventful with photo opportunities!

Only 1 thing worse - having your camera there but the battery being completely dead when you reach for it!

I missed that shot of Janer Hallucinating too!! happy0045.gif

Sure to get another one sometime though.

I used to see all sorts of stuff when without a camera, so that is why I bought the G9. Handy to have on your person most of the time.

Haven't missed anything really major due to not having my camera, but the worst thing that happened was for a planned photo. Was heading out to take a long exposure night shot. Left at sunset to get a few shots in before it got dark. When it was time to take my planned shot I had run the battery down :pac:

I did end up with a few nice sunsets though, and I returned a week or so later to get the shot I wanted. So not quite a missed opportunity.
