If its an Irish business, go with the .ie. Your more recognised as being Irish and it can help your Google Rankings.

Its 25 euro for an ie domain but only 5 euro for an irish domain

Those costs are likely to be small in comparison to your brand value. I would advise you get both, figure out whether you want to brand as Irish or more global. Then redirect the lesser brand to the more valuable one. Even of you go for the .ie, imagine the confusion and hassle that could be caused if someone else takes up the same biz name as a .com.

It's harder to get a .ie too as you have to prove you deserve it etc.

If you might want any more worldly internet attention go with the .com

    Get both if you can

I'm guessing one of those was meant to be .com? or can you differentiate between irish and .ie?

Its about 5/10 euro for a .com and 25 for a .ie.

Not if you know what you are doing or take the correct advise.

Technically not as .ie shows you are an Irish business and also benefits you in other ways such as SEO.

IE will be better for you if your doing the majority of your business in Ireland as it gives a good image. It is hard to get a IE domain and people know this so they know you are the real deal.

COM is excellent too, grab it anyway!

Infact to be honest I would grab .eu if it is available aswell, and any domain that is applicable i.e. if you sell / service in UK get .co.uk if its possible.

Get's as many of them as you can, and perhaps try get variations to generate more traffic, domains are cheap yet extremely important/valuable
