    Hi guys

just a simple question about going out in Letterkenny on the week ends.

    where are the girls?!

my firiends and I have had a mini obession this summer about the ratio of boys and gilrs in the places we go on nights out.
eg, the grill, the pulse, milan, sister saras.

    and having done the math,
the ratio is normally 2:1 or even 3:1 boy:girl.

are there really just that many male than females in the town, or are they all meeting up at a secret hiding place?

(ps, this is thread is in jest, so no haters please)

Maybe they've gone to find some 'men' - at least the kind who might offer a little respect or see past the externals ;)

Have you tried moving out of Letterkenny to look for them? There doesn't seem to be a problem during the day.......so they must go somewhere??????????????????????? Or are they catching up on beauty sleep, or going to smaller pubs instead of nite clubs - have you tried joining youth clubs, different activities around Letterkenny instead of meeting girls in nite clubs?

Try football matches, they are great for meeting new people and with the atmosphere and everything it is easier to get into a conversation and have a bit of craic!

Good luck, let us know if there is any improvement on the 3:1 ratio!

    lol

Never said anything about 'good looking' men - the quote was from someone talking about the absence of good looking girls. And I agree that some so-called good looking men and women can be obnoxious. Give me character and personality any day :) This obsession with externals is very prevalent and gets in the way of REAL and worthwhile relationships - but maybe not everyone is looking for a relationship per se?

Why not go on your own, get new mates or take turns deciding where you will socialise on saturday nites? A weekend away could be the best thing for you, going to say Donegal Town, Sligo, Derry, ......anywhere that takes your fancy and stay in B&B, hostel......see what is happening outside Letterkenny, you could be pleasantly surprised!:)

    Exotic - Voodoo???????????? I mean........................YUK:(

As for football, I mean GAA, local games, taking you out of town as well, they are great for meeting new people - boys or girls!!!!!!!!!!!! Even other sports, swimming etc...........just get out and take a look and STILL go out on saturday nite to Voodoo if you want!:D

What I am trying to say is broaden your horizans because there are loads of girls out there and it is up to YOU to find them!:P

    lol

You could have a point there but there is still manners isn't there - on the part of the lads and also of the ladies?

    no

from what ive heard, Donegal men arent very skilled in the art of romance.

but still, girls seem to be holding out for the brad pitt or Cristiano Ronaldo lookalike millionaire, and that aint guna happen in LK :D

I've been saying this for a while too.

In fairness it is a bit of a redneck town for going out - lads getting hammered and rows breaking out all over the place. That's not to mention the scoobies doing laps of the town in clapped out twin cams.

Not exactly gonna find many women in this town - well not at night anyway!:p

Seriously get away to somewhere like Galway and book a hostel. Staggering down Shop Street is a real eye opener ;)
