    Hi guys,
I'm heading down for the big qualifier on Saturday evening and I just wanted to get a rough idea about how far Cusak Park is from the Bus Eireann Station or stop.

    Thanks.

About 10 mins walk from the station...walk out of the station entrance, take a right and follow the road around, cant miss it.

when you are exiting the bus station take left then right at mini round about, keep walking until you meet another mini round about and take left and it will be on your right hand side, btween 5-10 minute walk ;)

Don't bother taking the shortest route to the ground (left out of the station, right at the roundabout and straight down from there), go through the town and have a pint in every pub you pass, start off in the Railway Bar (Fawl's), then the Old Ground, Diamond, Brogans, O'Halloran's (kind of pass it), Brewery, Knox's, Front Bar, Library, Cruises and Ciaran's. Get the first bus down in the morning and you should be able to make it :)

The Galway bus actually drives past the ground so keep your eyes peeled when you are going through town (on your right hand side) and you'll see it (next to Aldi)

Come out of the bus station > Left > Right > Left > Right > Right > Left (across from Tesco)

Along with brutal parking and worse still when idiots park in Tesco's and leave no room for customers.

If it wasn't for the complete lack of parking, the terrible perimeter fencing, the fact that the roofs are falling apart, that you can only get in from 1 side, that there's no toilets, it's 1 of the best stadiums in the world :D

Could one consider it an amphitheatre?

There's no toilet? My god that's hilarious.

Were they thinking about selling it to have it developed on or something? I'd imagine that'd explain the dire state of it. That and the fact the GAA are only interested in funneling all their profits into a handful of pitches.

There are toilets, about 4 of them, the smell out of them are a disgrace, the sights of fellas relieving themselves against the back wall isn't because they are savages, it because it's a lot healthier than going to the actual toilets, although I heard they did it up recently.

Don't get me started on the Clare County Board, they wanted to sell Cusack Park and build a custom built place out by the by pass, you know where always floods? Don't forget that they owned where Aldi is now, they sold that for a nice amount of money, now they're broke again....

The Clare county board are a joke, greatest bunch of me feiners ever, more interested in power and getting what they can out of it themsleves than the players and the games. (Although Clare isnt the only county with this problem, eg. a certain ageing chairman in Cork).

I cant see them having the money to do anything with cusack park for a LONG time...its a pity.
But really hope the hurlers do the business on saturday, hopefully there will be a big crowd and a good atmosphere around town!!!
