    I really have to get this game, it seems to be improving and becoming better value all the time.

    There was never a CD check to begin with though? You had to give a serial key to download the patches which imo is a much better DRM. Fantastic game and it gets browny points for not needing the CD in the drive to play.

    Game always required the DVD to be in the drive when played for me anyway.

    Only the enhanced edition patch required you to register to get it. The other patches didn't. Bioware used a similar system for Mass Effect DLC.

    Stardocks use a system of no legit cd key, no patches.

    Do the new modules automatically play or are they turned on and off like mods in other games?
