help - new powercolor 4850 fan not spinning...

    hi
    im currently building my new machine.
    have envery thing connected correctly ( i think)
    but when i went to turn on the pc, the graphic card doesnt seem to start....... the fan hasnt started to spin on it, and while its connected to the monitor, that stares blankly back at me also.

    motherboad is ga-ma7fxt-ud5p
    graphics card is powercolor 4850
    power supply is tagan 600-u33ii(600 watt)

    at power on, heatsink fan, psu fan, and case fan all kick off.
    (gpu fan twitches once at power on)

    mother board lights up, there is power in the dvd drive etc.

    gpu is connected to 6 pin connector.

    i have read on some forums that the gpu fan wont spin untill it reaches higher temps, but the fact the the display or fan doesnt start has me worried. . .

    any help appreaciated

    my lovely wife just pointed out that i was missing atx_12v_2x4 connectors........

    heuston we have lift off.. :)
