I'm living on Ossory Road, and for the last two nights there has been this continous droning noise, which is keeping me and my OH awake :(

It started the night before last, and at first I thought it was in the building, but last night I went outside and could hear it in the distance. Has anyone else heard it?

I'm guessing it's on all the time, just that it gets lost in the daytime backgroung noise, but it sounds like a generator or something coming from the port/point area.

    Anyone, any ideas?????

Maybe something to do with the O2 complex, the new bridge, or maybe a generator on one of the many building sites there?

Is it nonstop or does it stop and start? Could be a couple of things from the sounds of it.

Its constant (although the wind cause the sound to dip)

I don't know but thanks, now I have Lionel Richie in my head :pac:

    Maybe skangers on mopeds?

no, it's constant. Think the hum from a big ship/generator.

Could you phone DCC and complain,I thought it was illegal for builders to cause noise pollution during the night.

humm, that wasn't what I was talking about. It was more constant - not like bursts of a fog horn.

However, I couldn't hear it last night, so all is good.
