I'm looking for some barbecue areas in Dublin and around. (designated barbeque areas or picnic areas with barbecues)

Does anyone knows places like that?

(I checked Wicklow National Park website but coal fired barbecues not allowed there.

According to Powerscourt Gardens website, picnic areas are available in waterfall area but no information about whether barbecues are allowed or not.)

    Thank you

Hi, as far as I know, Newbridge House in Donabate allows BBQ in the picnic area.

There is a playground right beside it too.

What about the beach around Sandymount? It is legal to have a BBQ there? Any other beaches where barbecue is allowed?

Is this information available online somewhere? Couldn't find it on the city council website

We went to Powerscourt Waterfall and it was wonderful. BBQ is permitted there and there are barrels which you can put your BBQ on top of it and dump inside it after use.

I advise buying cheap tesco quick BBQ set, it was 3 euro something and cooks well.

I was in Newbridge House last weekend, and this is indeed true.
