Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    -20yr old male
    -1 yr NCB
-looking to get insured on an e36 BMW 320i.

Folly you say? So did Axa, Quinn, Hibernian, No Nonsense, XS Direct, Chill.ie, quoteme.ie etc..., the majority saying that I had to be at least 21 (and dammit I can't wait that long).

So I rang the old reliable 123.ie, who actually gave me a quote:
    TPFT: €2100
    Comp: €2600
    yikes!

    FBD Insurance:
    -TPFT: €1859 (with windscreen cover)
    -Comp: €2278

Just serves as a reminder to shop around for insurance when you need want a new car or when your renewal is up. Happy days!

Cool. But what's the excess like on the policy?

    Excess is €350.

I usually found FBD scarily expensive for car insurance (24yo male).

Very surprising as we have 2 houses, 2 farms, a tractor and another car insured with them.

My mother, yesterday, getting insured on her new (to her) BMW 535d:

    Hibernian - EUR930 per year
    Wrightway - EUR350 per year

Excess is the same on both (EUR300 ish ).

    Means nothing to them.

I'm just not a one-car kind of guy. I told her this morning it's not you, it's me :D
