    New tough phone from nokia, the 3720 classic - (not a 3g phone). Its similar to the landrover and jcb style phones but not as obvious. With that the spec isnt as good, but would suit the average user better imo because its cheaper. It will do the job for knocks and dropping it in water, not everyone needs to drive over their phone ;)

    Built to IP-54 standards (Landrover S1 one is IP67 rating), the 3720 classic is designed to resist water, dust and shock. The battery cover does all the work, its a rubber style that protects from water, dust etc. Apparently coming in a range of colours and for around €150 sim free so half the price of the land rover S1. The downside is you can brake this phone from water damage, and you will have to pay for it to be fixed, where its not the case with the S1

    IP54 means - Protected against dust, and Protected against sprays from all directions.

    Where as Ip 67 means - Totally protected against dust and Protected against the effects of temporary immersion between 15cm and 1m. Duration of test 30 minutes.

    So if you plan to drop the phone in water for more than a few seconds get the S1

    Specs:

    * 2-megapixel camera with LED flash, 4X digital zoom (lled doubles as a light)
    * 2.2-inch QVGA 16.7 million colours display
    * Nokia Maps pre-installed on the 1GB microSD card

    It's about time Nokia released another tough phone. The 5500 wasn't a bad phone but the screen was too small and the build quality was rubbish.
