Wasn't there a thing at the bottom of a thread page with similar threads ? Is it gone for good?

I dunno about "for good" but it's certainly gone for the forseeable future.

The query that was used to generate that was very expensive and didn't produce useful results most of the time. The similarity match was on the title, not the content and never got updated unless the title was edited. That meant that it would be most accurately called "threads with similar titles to this one which have been created before this". On top of all of that, from the sample that I tested, the feature was almost unused.

It was handy for merging duplicate threads on the same topic sometimes. But it was just as often completely useless.

I could've sworn I saw one of the similar threads boxes at the end of a thread yesterday sometime.

If you do, then I've done something wrong so please let me know. :)

Now that the similar threads box is gone, could we move the posting rules box away from its own line?

Maybe stretch it out under tags?

I'm nearly certain I saw it there yesterday. Could've been in the mod forum. I'll give ye a shout if I see it again.

There were a few cases where the similar threads made some hilarious matches. Not many unfortunately. I think having it there was increasing the amount of zombie threads because most of the time the threads were a little on the old side.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
