I am guessing you have never driven to Dublin from Limerick before.

It is about 2.5 hours (varies depending on traffic) from Limerick city.

The N7 is the route to Dublin from Limerick.

Below is copied from the directions to Marlay Park section of the TM website.

    Directions:
Plan your approach to Marlay Park based on the following:

Traffic from M1, N2, N3, N4, N7, N81 travel via M50 to Ballinteer Interchange (southern end of M50) then first exit off roundabout to the Green route and Grange Road and concert car parks.

Traffic from N11 and South Dublin via Leopardstown Road, Sandyford Industrial Estate and new Drumartin Link to Green Route and Grange Road and concert car parks.

Traffic from Dublin City Centre travel via N81 to Terenure Cross Roads then Rathfarnham Road to Grange Road, College Road and concert car parks.

The approach routes will also be sign posted.

    Disabled pedestrians entrance Grange Road.

Disabled car parking is at College Road. We must stress this is quite a distance from concert site.

    Parking:
Special needs parking is in the College Rd carpark - please note this is quite a distance from the concert site.

    Public Transportation:
Dublin Bus will run a direct service to Marlay Park departing and returning to Georges City Quay in the city centre. (Service will commence one hour before gates open).

The 75 bus leaves from The Square, Tallaght and travels through Knocklyon, Fairhouse, Rathfarnham (Nutgrove Shopping Centre) and on to Ballinteer Shopping Centre, which is the recommended stop for the venue. The pedestrian entrance is only a few minutes walk from there.

This route also comes from Dun Laoghaire taking in York Road, Bakers Corner, Deansgrange, Stillorgan Dual Carriageway, Stillorgan Village, Kilmacud, Dundrum and Ballinteer. The Ballinteer shopping centre is the recommended stop. It's only a few minutes walk to the pedestrian entrance.

The 48A departs from the City Centre (Hawkins Street). This is a very frequent bus leaving approximately every 10 minutes. It travels through Townsend St. then on to Pearse St. The bus stops outside the train station, which is convenient for any ticket holders travelling by Dart from Howth, etc. It then goes through Merrion Square, Stephens Green, Adelaide Road, Ranelagh, Milltown, Dundrum Village, and onto the terminus at the Ballinteer Shopping Centre. Once again it is only a few minutes walk to the venues Pedestrian entrance.

    Garda Traffic Management Plan.
An Garda Siochana will have a Traffic Management Plan in operation. For further details please see www.garda.ie
As traffic and parking delays are inevitable you are strongly advised to use public transport or car pool. It is recommend if driving to and from the venue please allow plenty of additional time.
