Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I am on a committee that is organising a resident association fun day.

Is there any problems regarding taking pictures on the day of the different events going on such as bouncy castle or sports races?

Is there rules that we need to follow....?

    Cheers

If it's in a public place then there's no "rules" as such that you need to follow. People can freely go around and take pictures. Any rules would be of your own discretion, and even at that, they are only enforcable out of politeness to be honest.

There are no rules per se, and before this thread goes down the usual route of ppl giving their views re this thorny issue here is my advice.

Get some sort of Hi Vis bib etc for the official photographer so people know that this person is part of the organising committee and not some randomer taking pics of their kids. Discuss amongst yourselves how you would feel if your kids were being photographed and what safguards you would like to be in place, then put them in place!

I completely agree with DodgyKeeper here, and the bib is an excellent idea. I think people will feel a bit more comfortable if the photographer looks the part, and they can pick him out straight away.

Brilliant. Thanks for the ideas!!! I hadn't thought of the bib. I'll say it to the committee this week, but I'd say that would solve the reservations that they had.

    Cheers everyone!:D
