Cash game at the Irish Open 2009. Pretty sure villian posts here as do other people who were at the table. Only about a 300 pot but still pretty unusual.

9 handed 1/2 cash game. I am in the BB with 22, SB is experienced tight aggressive player who plays the Fitz and Jackpot cash games alot.

Folds around to small blind who calls. I raise to 7 - he calls.

Flop comes JJ2. All I'm afraid of here is JJ, pretty unlikely given he didnt reraise PF. Now I'm just thinking how can I get his 150 into the pot. He bets the pot. I think and reraise, trying to make him think that I think that he's just bluffing. I raise, he reraises, I reraise, he pushes, I call.

Villian shows J2 - all i could do was laugh ! Took it back off him about 1/2 an hour later anyway . . . :p

This is too crazy to be a bad beat.

Got Ace-Jack. Hate Ace-Jack, it always trips me up.
Blinds are about 500-1000. I've got about 10,000.

UTG raises it to 3,000 i think
    I call.
    Button calls.

    Flop: Ace-Jack-Five

UTG goes all-in for about 12,000
    I call.
    Button calls.

    UTG turns over Ace-Jack.
    I turn over Ace-Jack
    Button turns over Five-Five.

it really shouldn't take that many raises to get it in

Ye, maybe the amount of raises I included exceeded the actual amount. Point is we were both 100% sure we had the nuts. Just delighted he had only got 150 in front of him (I had about 700 and it all would have gone in)

Terrible how? Could have re-raised pre-flop I suppose.
UTG was loose by the way.

    Shove or fold preflop.

In the Clonsilla Inn last week.
Pocket AA utg blinds 150/300 I pop it to 850, BB calls
    - Flop 29T BB checks I bet 1500, BB insta shove for rest of his 4k I call
    - he hits set of twos on flop!!!!

    It gets worse:eek:
With half my stack left approx 6k.
Very next hand, again i get AA on the BB, get raised from the button to 1k, I re-raise to 3k (thinking I couldn't be put on aces straight away!) Button calls.
    - flop is rainbow Qd8s5c (fairly safe) I check with intention to raise, button shoves first, I call for rest of my 3k.
    - Button shows Kd Jd  I show AcAd
    - Turn 6d
    - River 2d (OMFG!!!!!) Busto........to a miracle flush!

Does any one know the odds of being dealt AA twice in a row?

Its a shove or fold situation, and if UTG is loose then shove as your hand figures to be better than his.

Hand has to be mentioned for sheer hilarity.

Time when I was running bad, and everytime I picked up KK, I lost, regardless of what the other guy had.

It was happening so often, Kayroo was offering players 3/1 that the KK would be cracked.

One time(think it was a ****ty tourny like the 20 JP f/o or something), i got KK aipf vs J9o, Kayroo stirs up a STORM, yelling he'll give anyone 3/1 the KK will lose(at this stage there's like 50 people around the table he's created that much mayhem).

Flop comes Kxx. Kayroo STILL yelling around the room offering 3/1 KK will lose.

    Turn: Q

    River: T

The place erupted, Kayroo running around shouting 'I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO'

Funny as **** looking back at it but I didn't particularly enjoy it at the time! :pac:

A few years ago in a tournament and 11 left .
Top ten get paid, 10th getting a few hundred euro.

And a chinese guy at the table was talking to his friend across the room playing in a cash game and the chinese guy said all-in but he was not referring to his hand but he was saying it to his mate playing in a cash game across the room.

The chinese guy was about to muck his hand when the big blind said to the dealer that he had just announced all-in the dealer asked the player and he said that he was not referring to his hand but to his friends hand in the cash game.
The player in the big blind (chip leader) called for a floor manager and the chinese guy hand to put all his chips into the pot.
The big blind had aces of course and won the hand.

Nice for me as I was short stacked and got a nice amount of cash from the tournament.
