Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Numbers 1 and 3 are pure muck. The first image is boring. The third image is both boring and has a bunch of unsightly crap in the image. The angles and foreground interests are either lacking or not compelling. In the third image, you might have tried to put the ruined church more into the frame. Also, churches usually have graveyards attached. You might have also tried including gravestones!

Number 2 is an absolutely cracking image. If you had put the foreground plant completely into the image it would be even better because it would have made a wonderful juxtaposition between the foreground weed and background tree as their silhouette profiles are very similar.

Are you based in Galway city? If you are I can pass you some location suggestions for sunsets.

EDIT: Edited for clarity of comment.

Ah, tis great to have such a way with words :D The thing that might have been omitted in the above was the IMHO preface or suffix.

IMHO and at first glance I love the colouring in them and the silhouettes are nice. I don't think the compositions are too bad tbh. They are probably not too conventional and are either happy accidents  or skillfully crafted (can be hard to tell sometimes) but eitherways I like them. The warm dreamy colours make it for me. Nice work

I don't mind constructive criticism, but I fail to see how telling me that my pictures are "pure muck" is in ANY way constructive - it's rude and uncalled for.

We've taken a sharp right-hand turn away from the broad Motorway of Photo Critiquing and into the rugged Dirt Roads of Off Topic. First, we see productive fields to either side of the track that are populated with livestock, or have rich high rows of wheat or corn. In the distance behind us, we can see the broad motorway. Then come the foothills, and their ruggedly handsome forests. The trees that climb into the blue skies above us form a haunting nocturnal tunnel through which we drive uneasily. The Motorway of Photo Critiquing is just a fond, oft-recalled memory as we reach the High Pastures of Personal Opinions in time to catch the beautifully scenic sunset. As the last rays of light fade from the sky, a wolf howls.

    We shiver.

He also said that number two was a cracking image, but your letting the majority opinion colour your view of his post.
