Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Slideshow to DVD

Can anyone recommend software that will allow me compile a slideshow of JPG files and convert it to a DVD movie format disk?

I'd like also to have some classy transitions between the shots (slow zoom in/out etc, not those cheesy Quantel type spinning/rotation type transitions!).

I've used Adobe Premier a lot in the past.

    Thanks.

If you have a recent Mac, the iLife suite of apps will do this - iDVD and iMovie.

PS - convert the images to the right size of screen (SD/HD) before you import them into a slideshow maker. Some make a terrible job of resizing multi-mexapixel pics to the 720x576. TVs are terribly low res, yes even the HD ones - DVD only shows standard resolution (wide /SD) pictures.

I use Proshow gold and it gives those slow zooms that you are looking for.

Windows Movie Maker will do this without any difficulty.

The only feature missing is to automatically adjust the movie length to the music length.

So, I drop in the music track first and then do the photos.

Proshow Gold does this. ( Sync music with pics );)

Thanks Vectra - job done in Pro Show Gold in about 10 minutes! - I had nightmares about having to use Adobe Premier for such a simple project.
