Crocodillo? Armadile? Freak!

This might just be the single coolest looking creature ever discovered. It's basically an upright crocodile with an armadillo like shell that was capable of both digging and chewing! It seems to have eaten a combination of meat and plants. Full article here. Photo by Paul Jurgens

Dubbed Armadillosuchus arrudai, the newly described species of crocodile roamed the arid interior of Brazil about 90 million years ago, during the late Cretaceous period, scientists said.
