Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can someone clarify this for me please....
If someone has 2 points on their license and then after 3 years the points are taken off, do insurance companies still put down on their system that you had been convicted of a motoring offence even though your 2 points have now gone? I am having some conflicts with a new insurance company. They are saying that even though my points are now gone I still will pay more for my insurance because of the history of my driving... Is this right to still penalise me for points that are no longer on my license? I may aswell still have the fecking points on my license...If this is the case points leave a permanent scar.

Do you have to tell insurance companies that you use to have points?

    Thanks

Were you actually convicted, or did you just get the two points with a ticket?

I got a ticket in the post and paid it and thought no more of it...I was not in court or anything. Last week I got a letter telling me my points were now taken off my license as the 3 years had passed.

A fixed penalty notice isn't a conviction. If its expired you do not need to tell your insurance company.

Some of the insurance companies want to know of points in the last five years.

In that case you must tell them.

Which is a form of double punishment.
