Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Have a van from work.

Finally sold the car it was just sitting most of the time in the yard in work.

I haven't been using the car over the last 7 months, so I am getting rid of it now.

Only nuissance is I will looose the 3rd party cover on other cars which can be handy now and again.

Can I just keep the insurance going to give me the 3rd party?

I suppose I could get a really cheap car and basically insure it and leave it sit.

Little bit of me would love to get a nice old car Maybe an old 635 or merc ce if it wasn't for the bloody tax.

The other cars cover can't be used for cars that you own, but if it's other people's cars you're talking about could be a good idea to insure something cheap to hold your cover and NCB.

A classic policy wont cover him to drive the other cars he wants though. Plus will it not have to be a 2nd policy anyway?

    +1

Depending on the car, the driver, etc. the regular insurance could well be several hundred euro more than classic insurance though. Is that worth it to the OP?

Although many (if not all) classic policies require that the policyholder have another main car insured separately.
