problem with pc

    hey all
    im having quite often a problem with my self assembled pc

    sometimes i turn it on and boots fine, but sometimes it powers on and nothing shows up on the screen

    has anybody encountered anyhing like this before?

    i generally turn it off and on for ages, and then sometimes it works again but i cant figure out what the problem is

    Have you checked all the connections to ensure nothing is lose?

    as said check all connections

    also check that nothing is faulty like chips cpu ram etc.

    also water damage

    is it old ? maybe too old or maybe not enough power going into it ?

    how could i find out if one part in particular is faulty?

    its weird cos it happened a few days ago and all of a sudden it worked

    and now same thing happened again..
    its 3 yrs old, its a mid tower and the power supply is 480w

    have a check of the ram chips that their not loose...same with other components

    i really dont know..
    this time i just inserted and removed the ram a few times and it worked.
