Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Don't think theres a thread on this yet so here goes!:)

The best spy shots yet have appeared and show the car more or less undisguised

    bmw-5-series-front-three-quarter-1.jpg

    bmw-5-series-side-2.jpg

    bmw-5-series-rear-three-quarter-1.jpg

    Other pictures here: http://wot.motortrend.com/6530587/auto-news/spied-2011-bmw-5-series-sheds-some-camo-gets-some-camo/index.html

No news on engines yet obviously but the bigger engines should be direct transplant from the already launched 5 series GT.

Should be arriving on ours shores mid to late 2010

We know that the volume selling new E class models have achieved 156€ road tax so the new 5 series wont have any advantage in that area. In terms or pricing, expect it to be about the same as the E-class, surely BMW cant increase that with the pricing of the new E-class

Edit: If you think it can be assumed that the interior of the new 5 series will be the same as the interior of the 5 series GT(And i think it can), the interior will look like this

    Opinions?

I'll reserve my full judgement until I see it fully, but judging from these pictures it just looks like a scaled up 3 Series.

I reserve judgment too, but the flank surfacing looks very bland after the Bangle years.

looks like a lexus and unforgivably dull.

Definately a midsize BMW then, and definately not designed by Bangle. Not good.
