Have to say that was the nastiest of the recent storms. still some peculiar shaped clouds in the sky too.

we've had at least one thunderstorm per day over the last week or so.

I am outside limerick City and I got a substantial shower but not as bad as in town. My sister was calling into the Crescent Shopping Centre on the way from work in the height of the shower. A voice alarm speaking "Terror Alert" was activated by the torrential rain.

That one totally missed us! Haven't had rain all day.

Just drove up from Ferns in heavy hail and rain.

some loud bangs of thunder here at home but its dry at present.

Another long loud bang there now

Just had heavy shower here but no sparks.

Two seperate distant rumbles heard from that shower off to my SE.

I'm stuck in work for the evening, looking through frosted glass roof windows, it seems to be getting darker out there.

How does it look out there mike ?

Doesn't look like there is any lightning with that shower at the moment, no strikes detected on StormVue, also seems to be going a bit to the north of the city.

Yep it looks like south kilkenny - the Slieverue area might get it.

Yeah I drove through that one on my way back to Dublin.
Very heavy rain and hail and saw one blinding flash just before loughlinstown.
Drove out of it then by sandyford where the roads were only slightly wet but you could see all the black behind with the rain stretching north out of the black over to Howth.

there was another storm in Arklow around 6pm I'm told.

    Very warm evening this evening.
Still 16c here and bear in mind thats out in a field in the middle of the country and not in an urban heat trap.
