If you already ordered it then wouldn't it be best to not ask us what we think? It'll only make you feel bad if we say something like you could of gotten a Q9/8300 which would run cooler and use less power while being a better OC.

And you could get a case with better airflow that still looks good like a cooler master 590 or antec 300. And they would save you abour 60 doofers(which could be added to your CPU budget so you could get the Q9300).

Aside from that it looks fairly good OP, enjoy :)

For 800? I'd probably go with a PhenomII 720BE+4870 then fill in the gaps with some DDR3 RAM and then the usual things..

    You've specced a P45 build with triple-channel DDR3 from an X58. Not physically compatible.

    Oops.

That P45 motherboard supports DDR3. It should be fine. Have a mate running an identical spec one except a gigabyte P45 with 2gb ddr3 from a 3gb kit (theres only 2 DDR3 slots). runs fine.

I'm not having a good day today... forgot there were all of one non-X48 mobos that could use DDR3... and it was the one in this topic :o

Still the wrong kit though :P
