Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Going to sell an old camera at a car boot sale

I'm going to try sell an Olympus C-700 which I got back in 2002. It's only 2.1 megapixel which isn't great - but it has done me some justices in the past - see below. I'll be selling a bag and cards with it, just curious as to what you think I could ask for it - I'm not expecting much at all in honesty but sometimes these sorts of sales can surprise you.
I remember thinking giving my mum some old VHS movies for a car boot sale a year ago was a waste of time and she sold them no problem.

Although it an old camera the quaility of those images would be far better than that of most modern day compacts,Sadly though due to the low MP i feel you'd stuggle to get more than €30 for it,But i could be totally wrong,None on ebay either.

I cannot see the images at work.

If you want to get a better price then print some of the photo's you have taken with the camera to display with it.

Good idea & to be honest I would be happy with €30 for it (that's around the ballpark I was thinking I would get) and even though it's a low MP camera it is a bargain of a buy - my phone is 3.1 MP but wouldn't compare; it's all in the lens quality I suppose.

Pretty decent for 2 Megapixels. :D Nice optic lens too. Hopefully you can get a fair price.

really does give sound grounding to the ol megapixel myth, first image is really excellent, sadly the res itsn't amazing, A 2.1 MP camera wouldnt really appeal to many, but with those images someone could be interested

I know a 2 MP won't appeal but if there are people in this day and age who lap up old VHS movies when you can buy the DVDs cheap in any HMV then it's certainly gonna be worth a try.

So you're the guy that always in front of me in concerts taking photos! ;)

Nice images but unfortunatly people will look at the MP size. Can you not just keep it as a point & shoot?

Nah, I have a replacement P&S camera now which I use instead of my DSLR when the time needs it. Sure we'll see what happens, people are looking for old crap anyway at these things, so if it's crap that works it might sell.

It's one in Limerick and I'm not sure how good or popular it will be. Some friends decided to give it a go and asked if I wanted to go so I thought "What harm".
