The clarion at liffey valley http://www.clariondublinliffeyvalley.com/ seem to be pretty reasonable price wise.

Another option is the bewleys hotel at newlands cross http://www.bewleyshotels.com/newlandscross_hotel_dublin.asp,it's only a few minutes walk from clondalkin village.

A bit further away, on the fringes of Clondalkin is the Days Hotel in Park West.

How old is the kid? May be able to get a cot put into the room if the kid is young enough.

Has a Spar and Chinese within walking distance of it. Has a bar in it. Ask them if the boiler is fixed yet, though :D Cold shower ftl.

    WestCountyHotel.ie in Chapelizard is €85 a night.

LucanSpaHotel.ie is €67 for a double room. On the west side of Lucan.

Wha about the IBIS Hotel just across from Luas on Monastery Rd there?

Or Green Isle up on Boot Road? Fine establishment.
Any truth to the rumour (& I've been out of the loop locally since Febuary) that it's ondly open part-time? Like/As in 3-4 days (Thursday-Sunday with a checkout of Monday & no check-in til Thursday?

Or Sheldon Park a bit further in the Naas Rd. Turn left for Ballyer. Well sign-posted. Up Kylemore afaik.
