I downloaded an album from rapidshare.(before anyone asks, it was pixies - doolittle, which I had bought years ago but got smashed at a party one night so what the heck I downlaoded a pirate version) I then imported it to itunes so I could upload onto my iphone, but it wont leave me drag and drop. Is it because the album is not the original and is there any way around this? I have updated to the latest version of iphone software, but it tilts the fck out of me that it wont let me put whatever I want on the iphone.. Please tell em there sia simple way around this??
    Many thanks iphone/ipod newbie

Stop iTunes running in the background and manage your music with Songbird - it doesn't care where you got your music. It's free and there is versions available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

What format are the songs in? if they are Mp3, AAC (without drm), ALAC, AIFF or WAV they should work.

Is your iphone set up (in itunes) to autosync? if that is the case then you cannot "drag and drop" from within itunes.

Galen, why do i want another stupid music manager like itunes when all i want to do is put this one album onto my iphone which songbird cannot even do yet.

I am happy with a music folder and windows media player to play and store all my music from my pc

    thanks anyway

I use songbird because it ignores windows drm. It will play music that neither microsoft media player or itunes would play. I ripped some cds in ubuntu linux which windows media player or itunes wouldn't play but songbird did without any issues.

Yes that would wipe it off....ok, well what you need to do when you get home is connect your phone to itunes, go to its menu tab and make sure to "enable manual management"<or something along those lines...that way you will be able to drag and drop within itunes.
