Simply go to 'My licenses' in the options setting when you run 'Maps' on your phone and enter your License code. This code will give you FULL UK navigation for 12 months, but the Uk and ROI are normally sold as one region so should be fine.

Downloading the maps are free. Its the voice guide that nokia make you pay for.

Yes, codes are transferred and usable using maps 2.0 or 3.0. Even if you change phones, the new phone can still use the remainder of the 12 navigation subscription.

Sorry for the slight diversion but I was thinking of getting the 5800 soon... I understood that you could use the GPS in some manner without a subscription? That the subscription is for voice directions?

Yup... that an the nav. i hve teh 5800.
you can use everything else, but it won't calculate a route or give you directions (and on Maps3, which is out now, you won't get the 3d BUildings either!)

This is a subscription for voice navigation like a stand alone gps eg garmin, navman. Without the subscription, the maps program is just a map on the phone.

Quick question lads, I've just the standard Nokia Maps application that came with my e71, should I be downloading a different program to get the best out of this licence key when it arrives...

Voice guided proper navigation would be nice, is that what I bought?

Yes, the code is for voice navigation.


Yes i would recommend downloading Maps 3.0. I prefer it since i updated from version 2. You do not need to do it now, you can do it at any time, even after you enter the code into the phone.

This code isnt drive europe, its for uk, but uk is never sold on its own, its always sold as uk and roi thats why i posted it.

They arent sending you mapping software. You have to download that yourself

Im guessing its just an automatically generated email, and the code is just sent via standard post, what do you expect for a fiver

Entered the code and got to choose which Sub I wanted - Drive Europe, Drive America, Drive India etc etc.

I got mine as well, struggling to update the maps on my e71, Nokia Maps updater dosen't find the phone, I've tried running as administrator but still no luck, picks it up fine in pc suite, any ideas, I want to update the maps before entering the code..tks

Lads, got mine delivered today and i updated it by going into the phone and selecting the "my licenses"
entered the code and it came up what region i wanted like, usa or europe.
selected drive europe and happy days.

update to the most current version of the map loader program, and connect the phone using mass memory rather than pc suite.

And you can enter the code now and upgrade to 3.0 later.

Just an FYI - I used the contact us form to see when they expect to have more in stock and to see if they would still be at a discounted price when they are back and this is the reply I got:
