Mods control freak in Limerick Forum

Hi All,

I'd like to draw Admin attention to suttle abuse of "power" in the Limerick forum by Mods.

Mods such as Mr E, Billy the Squids close down threads wily Nelly. NOW I know there are times (a lot, but not all the time) when threads are obvious that they will be closed before the sun sets, as they blatantly break the charter. And now someone called mayhem# is at it!!!
But they use that example far to often to close threads for little or no apparent reason.
If you doubt their authority or decision at any stage be prepared to put in the bold corner. On top of that other Mods will publicly back up the forum mods but if I publicly back a forum member against a Mod I could be banned or infracted!!!

Now I know the Mods I mentioned above can come back here with fancy words and facts to "down" me and I don't mind that as that will be their opinion and fair play for them to be able to express it.

I just wonder if an Admin could just look back over the last 15 threads that were closed in the Limerick forum and some of the recent infractions and bannings. Now I know most of them are deserving of it but their are some that are clearly carried out "because they Can"....

That's all I'm asking really, and if an Admin thinks I totalty wrong with no case I'll take it on the chin.

Firstly, I've moved this to the Help Desk forum because the Feedback forum is for suggestions for the site.

Secondly, I'll look into the last few locked threads but I'll have to read the charter first so it could be a little bit of time before I get back to you on this.

Edit: also, which forum are you talking about? Limerick City or Limerick County?

Leaving the unsolicited SMS messages being sent out on the organisations behalf asside, there were personal attacks on the organiser, an abusive shill, and questions as to if the event was a scam. Even though I am one of the people who received the unsolicited message, I was not the one who locked the thread, So I will not speak for #mayhem,

Threads of this nature have always being locked, ever since the forum was created. Nothing has changed here. If you want to point and laugh at individual homeless people or alcoholics, do it somewhere else

I can't fault any of the logic used by billy the squid there, baza1976. If there is nothing further, I think this issue is resolved.

Sorry about that and thanks for moving it.

In general the whole midwest forum but more often in the Limerick city forum.

And as I said If you say I'm way way way of the mark I'll accept it , I'll I want is an Admin to take a look.

Fair enough, but I think you should go to the limerick city forum and read through some of the Mods bannings, infractions and warnings and not just rely on what the mod above has just wrote.
And if I've learned one thing on the limerick city forum it's not always as clear or straight forward as what the mod says it is. I think you will see that not all the logic is reasonable.

Can you keep in mind also that it is not easy for the ordinary poster to substantiate complaints as it is near impossible to select or archive threads and posts esp from an access point of veiw, to which mods have this advantage.
