    The only female english world darts champion i can think of is Trina Gulliver and its possible she is with Bristow now as she divorced her husband in 2005.

    French dart or "penny dart" ?? the only reference i can find on this is sewing!!

    no, maureen flowers had a pub in stockport that is the place she first met bristow,all the top players [at that time used to go in it].the french dart it was the first dart i ever had in the 50s [and it used to cost a penny in manchester]was but its no longer made, a wooden dart with a feather flight and a peace of lead in it for weight,now i am giving away my age

    Maureen Flowers father had a pub called The Foaming Quart in Burslem, Stoke on Trent, not Stockport. She was married to professional footballer John Flowers and had two children by the time she was 24 and running a pub in Stoke on Trent.
