Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has done this course?
I'm thinking about registering for it and I'm wondering what other people thought of it.

I did it a year or two ago and found it good. It's not training per se, but it will give you an independent reflection on your driving.

The problem is that it just gives you feedback on how you drive when there is a garda in the neighbourhood, not how you drive normally.

I did it not too long ago and found it excellent but make sure your bike is up to scratch, ie winkies, mirrors correct size official number plate etc.

Thanks for the info, I'll probably go ahead and register for it. It would be useful to get an assessment of my driving these days - it's been over 5 years since I took the test.

Definitely worth doing, free assessment of your abilities are always good.

Was out myself a few weeks ago and got a lot from it.

I did it because it gave me 10% my Adelaide insurance!

It's very good! Would definitely recommend it!

...it's also been cancelled in the last few weeks - no money available, apparently.

So a GTC guy told me, last week........annoying, I've been trying to get on it for 2+ years.....

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Saw some biker out today on the n4 with a shiny new luminous vest followed closely by a garda, so i'm guessing it's back on.
