Which Cisco IOS for CCNA lab + home ethernet/routing?

Anything really will do for CCNA as long as it support SSH - Security feature set
Went with c2600-is-mz.123-22 which I'm told is a good match for:
Cisco 2620 (MPC 860) processor (revison 0x600/200/101) 61044k/4096K bytes of memory
32k bytes of non-volatile configuration memory
16384K bytes of processor board System flash (read/write)
*3 different routers.
Have a DB9 console cable here but there's no serial port on the back of my desktop so I need to pick up a USB to Serial Adaptor Cable and some WICs off ebay and I should be good to go

Hi,
a slight hi-jack, but in the same topic realm...if I wished to learn the Cisco IOS, would the 871W be a good one to start off with? I figure that if I could learn the basic function required for a home lan on it, such that I could replace my home router with it, it would be a good, live experiment...
I say the 871W, as from what I can discern, this device will do Advanced IP (and thus IPv6, which I wish to learn also) - am I choosing too advanced a device, or too slow a device?
BTW, I'm thinking of finding one on ebay - will I have trouble with getting IOS updates?

I say get some 2501's - 20euro on ebay and maybe a 2600xm if you wanna spend that much.
If your going for CCNA pick up a 2950 too if you can... you can expand on this later for CCNP if you decide to go that way 0 -
