    Does any1 no the recipe for cheesecake buns - thinking of trying to make them the weekend:)

    no, there buns with sum sort of a pastry bas, jam in the middle and then maderia on top.
    Have no idea why there called cheese cake buns!

    They are a kind of sponge, they are called cheese cake because they have some sur cream or something in the recipe, they are not cheesecake as in the filled with cream cheese pastry shell type.
    Sorry I have no recipe.:(

    I think they're called Welsh Cheesecakes.
    Do some googling on that, and see if they look familiar (there are a few recipies out there and they seem to use a madeira mix)

    always just made them with a pastry base, spoon of jam and fairy cake or madeira top - welsh cheesecakes
