Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shotokan Navan

    Hi,
    Have just moved to Navan and would like to try and do some kind of MA. Am interested in Shotokan as I did this many moons ago when I was a kid. (Am 32 now).
    Anyway, am just wondering if the school in Navan does adult classes or adult beginner classes?

    Not looking to become the next Bruce Lee but just to get fit (fitter) and something to do in the evenings.

    I don't know of any club in Navan but I've linked an old post with lots of different orgs websites so if you have a look through them you should hopefully find somewhere nearby.

    I think there is one in athboy where the aikido club train if thats any good to you.

    There is a Wado-Ryu club in Navan run by Yoshihiko Iwasaki, 7th Dan. I trained under him in the DIT club and he's very good. He's quite strict and traditional but I found it very worthwhile. His dojo in Navan is well set up. http://wadoryu.dit.ie/

    There is a shotokan Karate Club in Navan. St Oliver's School every Monday 5.30pm-630pm - 6.40-7.10pm and Wednesdays 5pm-6pm 6.10pm-7.10pm. Linked to the USKF website for organisation is www.uskf.org
