Weekend away... help with travelling!

    Hey there!

    The fella and myself are planning an adventure type weekend away in Donegal in a few weeks. The only problem is neither of us drive so I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to get from Athlone --> Bundoran lol.
    Either by train or by bus... not sure which route to take, so hoping ye locals might be able to help me out :)
    Is there such thing as a small town bus that goes from a major town to Bundoran?

    You can go by train from Mullingar to Sligo and then by bus to Bundoran.

    Alternatively you can get a bus to Sligo and then from Sligo to Bundoran.

    Or you could go Athlone
    > Enniskillen and onwards to Bundoran.
