Hi, went to get our local TD's contact details.

But was surprised to see that on his website there are only 2 options.

Register to vote or apply for medical card!. Nothing else. no contact details, no news, no updates, nothing. (just a slide show of photos with other TD's)

    A fresh approach for Mayo??

Call into his office in Ballina or check the phonebook. He's a good, reliable TD, surprised at the lack of information on the website though.

If his website is a reflection of his work as a TD, then I won't be voting for him again. Its pointless to have a website with no information or contact details.

For example see the Website for Simon Coveney http://www.simoncoveney.ie

you have to agree there is a lot more content. Seems like our local TD does not market himself very much.

You're right, it's a bit lacking in information on what he has achieved as a TD. But he seem to have done alot, especially in the Ballina vicinity.

He's a new T.D. so he needs time to build a carrer for himself I'm sure he'll fix it when he has a bit more to put into it.

Got Dara Calleary's 2009 Newsletter, Can't for the life of me not understand why this is not on his website. No details on how to get more employment into the area.

High probability he will no longer be a TD within the next 7-8 months after FF get the hiding of their lives in the next election:D

And don't be suprised if FF lose both seats in Mayo :pac::pac:

A good reliable TD and a member of Fianna Fail, seems mutually exclusive to me.

ohhhh. For sure not!!!, There was a news articule on the closure of the Ballina-Manulla juction and I went looking for our local TD's contact details (not to be found on his website) and I realised there was NOTHING on his website, Just some slide show of him with other FF TD's.

I did vote for him in the last election as my #1 vote. But looking back I think it woud have been better to have Michelle Mulherin. For sure in the next election I will be voting for her. ( she would make a better TD and would flight for the local issues better than Dara)

But as far as me being related or attached to Dara Calleary you are be 100% assured I am not. I thought it was a complete joke his website so I started the thread.

I see our Local TD is keeping very quiet on the stabbings in Mayo, Would like to know what he proposes to tackle the issue.

Yes, I must say its a lot better, Miles better than the slide who with Fianna Fail ministers and 2 links to Claim Medical car and register to vote.

Pity it takes a thread on boards.ie to get the website changed. A forward thinking policitian would have have a website up an running before he/she ran for election.

But credit where credit is due. the website is a lot better.

Nothing on the website about local jobs.

  • Registered Users Posts: 109 ✭✭shaca

What new jobs!! They couldn't care less. Is it any wonder that we have such a high precentage of unemployed people here when big contracts - like the new Arts Centre - is contracted to builders from outside the region. Could be a few more builders down the dole queue soon.:confused:

The odds on Paddypower.com is that he won't be a TD after the next election.
    FG/Lab 2/5
    FF/Green 22/1
    FF Minority Government 33/1

Better get michelle mulherin into Dail or we won't have a local TD in government.
