Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey guys, just looking for some advice.. I have a BMW 316 '98 with a cracked head gasket (needs to be replaced) a few people have suggested that I might be better off looking for a reconditioned engine! I am waiting for a quote back for a price to get the head gasket done but he warned me that it will be expensive.. Has anyone any experience with something similar and have an idea of cost for head gasket or a reconditioned engine.

    Thanks,

    R

    Where are you based?

You might be better bring it to a specialist who does it day in and out, if your around Dublin try Gala engineering in dunboyne for a quote....

I'd be inclined to get the HG done, you never know what's wrong with an engine your putting in.... The M43 engine in yours is quite reliable...
