The Collie I have seen running around Charlesland (Sunday being the latest excursion for the dog) has a light brown collar which is fairly worn and is about 2 inches wide which is unusual looking for a dog collar. There was also a German Shepard running around loose in Charlesland Court on Sunday, I think the owner actually lives in the Court and just lets the dog out each day, no worries that this breed is listed as a Dangerous Breed under Irish law.

There is no such thing as a dangerous breed under Irish law, just restricted breeds.
Personally, I think letting any dog out to wander is a disgrace, apart from breaking the following law. All dog owners must keep their dogs under effectual control at all times.
A restricted breed must be securely muzzled and on a strong leash not more than 2 metres in length when in a public place.
I've 4 dogs & I would die if one got out, I'd be terrified a car would hit them, they'd get lost, worry sheep, the list is endless.
I can't fathom these dogs owners that let them run loose. It's their fault, not the dogs.
