Personally can't stand:

Chrome trim around lights, doors, boot etc.

Lists of performance brands down the doors of sh*tmobiles.

Sun Visor strips that use up half the windscreen.

Open Cone air filters on Puntos, Clios, Corsa etc.

Rear drums painted any bright colour!, Seriously, at least paint them black.

Large bore exhausts on small engined cars.

Body kits that dont suit car and also cars which have been colour coded using 1 rattle can and no plastic primer or lacquer.

... Speed holes, they make the car go faster! :P

forgot this one,

The new fashion of black alloys, the just look like pissy steel rims.

they only look good on some high performance white cars.

Nismo stickers on Almera's.

Any sunvisor, but especially No Fear.

Anything that says max power.

Flames, skulls and tiger stickers. Dragons too.

Standard escorts with the HUGE rally style spoilers.

Fake evos, WRX's, S4's, M3's, Type R's etc.

Seat covers.

Flashy hubcaps, especially chrome or spinners.

Box Type civics that you know are begging to be scrapped and are within an inch of death.

I hate fake AMG Merc's, even the AMG body kit that mercedes sticks on the lower models. It's the same thing for Audi & BMW, whats the point in sticking fake badges on these cars when your average joe is just gonna think its a regualar merc/audi/bmw, those of us who know the actual cars just think these guys are muppets!

i hate the way every second car has wolfrace katana alloys

Had the Type-R badge torn off the back of my ep3 while I was at the cinema 2 years ago. I think im entitled to hate type r badges on non type r's even more than anyone else ...:pac:

There is a lovely 1.4 Astra 2001 going around clondalkin with, not one, two rear spoilers. It also has some halfords stickers on the back. I need to get a pic of it but It goes passed me so fast its hard to get the camera out :pac:

lexus lights on anything apart from a lexus or an evo, they just look like something from a two euro shop and are ugly as f*ck. Also cars with bodykits and stock rims, ive seen a lime green peugeot 206 with a wide bodykit and wheels that dont even fill the arches, nearly puked looking at it.

Mahusive rear spoiler on FWD cars.

Just so ya know, an S15 is a RWD car..

Still though thats a good example of how it shouldnt be on a Road car.

I hate Shopping lists down the sides of doors
"Sunvisors" half way down windscreens
Hate Type R badges on non Type R's
Hate bumper stickers that say "my other ride is your girlfriend" etc
Hate wolfrace Katanas
Hate Glanza S's with Turbo stickers... (it clearly says S not V on your car)
Hate that stupid LIDL/Halfords chrome stuff that knackers seem to put around their lights, doors etc..

Just so ya know I never said it was ;) you just made an assumption. That car has so many crimes you would never know, bad body kit, huge exhaust, silly spoiler, stickers, 100% tint....take your pick.

you thought that was a fwd car clearly

• Registered Users Posts: 1,301 ✭✭✭Flesh Gorden

This was originally posted in the 'Pics of apt rare funny numberplate section' on motors forum

Why it belongs here is because someone paid €1000+ for personalized number plates for a car that's actually a 520 Diesel!!!

Ive seen it only once outside Ballyvolane shopping centre being driven by a blonde 30ish lady -

A friend of mine seen it close by too so I think she lives somewhere around the Mayfield/Glanmire/Montonotte area

m5.jpg

What makes it even more sad is the fact that a real 05' M5 costs under £25k on pistonheads - €16k Vrt - instead of the €50k that cost

Other mods that annoy me

* Limo tints with the silver/black fade

* 19" alloys on Golfs 17" on corsa's with the tyres sticking outside the arches

* Katanas

* Alloys on vans

* Lexus Lights - even on a Lexus they look cheap and tacky

* Huge italic window stickers like 'Focus' 'Corsa' 'Toyota'

* my neighbours RS badge on her 03' Fiesta thats parked opposite my RS2000

i can understand everything on your list except for the mtech badges. why do they annoy you so much when there standard on mtech cars?

fair enough if it was an M3 badge on a 318Ci.

this is one of things that annoy me about my car.. i want to get the thing debadged since only other e30 owners know its supposed to there. everyone else thinks it shouldnt be there, not their faults but so so annoying that people think i'm tryin to be 'cool'

Not only them, but the ones posted before on the white honda tyre R bus are my pet hate, for a few years they were everywhere and i dont see how anyone thinks they're a nice wheel or even suits any car.

Also hate those te37 copies, innovit or something, multi stud with VOLK and INNOVIT stuckers with a ghastly centre sticker   But the ROTA ones are ok, at least they are cheap and actually look like a rays alloy.

My biggest hate is stupid prats with very powerful cars who buy the cheapest tyres they can get. I dont know if its just donegal, but the amount of evo, skylines etc with budget tyres beggars belief, maybe it is just donegal and thats why so many are killed up here.
Lately i actually look at the tyres on nice cars before anything else (i'm getting old).

Also hate;
Any stickers, anywhere on a car
Civic type R that just aren't. I really wanted a nice standard black VTI, but by the time i could afford one, there was so many around it just wasn't worth being associated with that crowd.
Cars lower past 30mm, although all lowerings are usually unnecessary.

And just an example of how stupid some modded car drivers are; a friend of mine had a very nice ITR a good few years ago, proper car with about 240bhp. He got a carbon fibre bonnet from japan (when they were rare) but it got damaged during shipping (long story, no comeback), the front corner had a crack. So he got a small long SPOON sticker and put it over it. Two weeks later i was driving out of town when i seen a round light 1.6 integra with a spoon sticker in the exact same place, i laughed my ass off. The mate took his sticker off straight away:D

I don't hate it, but I laughed very hard the other day when a friend of mine pointed at one of the lads cars. "Tell me, why is that car completely debadged, front and rear, only to have a big Sun Visor with Honda Civic written across it".

I generally hate Limo tints, most other mods are each to their own.

Well, it's an M-tek (M-sport), so she's actually got it m-badged of BMW, not sure about the M5-logo though, i think that should have been silver only or just the "M", not the 5.

It's simply a lot show, no go :) If it was a 535d, it would at least have been the Alpina engine out of the Alpina D10.
