Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There's a few freeware defragmenting apps out there. Alternatively you could download a trial of something like diskeeper. Using one of the free apps would be best for the long term though. Don't know of any good free defragmenting software.

    Open My Computer.
    Right click your C: drive.
    Go to properties.
    Go to tools.
Is there no Defragment button there?

    Otherwise you can try this.

Defrag won't work if cluster sizes are > 4K or something like that
only affects massive drives (for XP that is) though

if you don't have at least 15% free space sort that out first as the drive will take ages to defragment and then will fragment back again fairly quickly
